Pavitra
There was a famous psychiatrist in Toranto, Canada. One foggy day a wife and husband came to visit him. They were waiting in the the queue. The lady receptionist was staring at them suspiciously. She thought something was not right. But did not know what it was. When it was their turn she sent them in.
The doctor examined them closely as they walked in. There were three chairs. The wife sat in the chair close to her. Husband sat in the middle chair next to her.
“So, what’s the problem?”, said the doctor. The husband took a long pause and said that he didn’t know how to say it. After a lot of convincing, he finally said, “It is Pavitra’s problem. She pees on the bed”.
“This is a very simple problem. It has a very easy treatment. In fact, it is not a treatment at all. Just follow these guidelines for two months: After 8pm, do not drink water.”
The wife seemed giggling to herself with an expressionless face. The husband said, “I did not say she pees in the bed at night!!”
“Then… does she sleep in the day time?”
“No, of course not! She squats in the middle of the bed and does it.”
The doctor was beyond confusion. He did not know what to ask nor say, for a few seconds.
“Does your wife do this every day?”
“Wife!! Wife!! I am not talking about my wife!! I am talking about Pavitra.”
Doctor almost fainted.”Who is Pavitra?!”
“Our daughter!!”
“Where is she?!!” asked the doctor.
The husband pointed at the empty chair next to him.
